Project First League is the trade name of Sebastiano Bartoli, registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO) under number 1017.790.019, with registered office at Vrijheidstraat 9, 2070 Burcht (Zwijndrecht), Belgium. Contact: info@projectfirstleague.com
In these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:
2.1. These Terms & Conditions apply to all use of the App, the creation of an account, the booking of and participation in Sessions, and all other services offered through Project First League.
2.2. By creating an account or using the App, the User accepts these Terms & Conditions unconditionally and in full.
2.3. The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be announced in the App and published on the Website with a new version number; they take effect 14 days after publication. Continued use of the App after that date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms & Conditions.
3.1. To use the App, the User must create an account by completing the registration process. Registration is possible with an email address and password, or via a Google or Apple account.
3.2. During registration and onboarding, the User is required to:
3.3. Without a completed profile (including date of birth and region), the App cannot be fully used. The User's email address must be verified before a Session can be booked.
3.4. The minimum age for using Project First League is 16 years. By creating an account, the User confirms that they have reached the age of 16. Users under the age of 18 additionally confirm that they have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to create an account, to accept these Terms & Conditions and to make payments through the App.
3.5. The account is strictly personal and non-transferable. The User is responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential.
3.6. The Operator may suspend or block accounts upon suspicion of fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms & Conditions, without prior notice and without entitlement to compensation. A blocked account cannot book any Sessions until the block is lifted by the Operator. A blocked User can contact the Operator through the App ("Get in touch") to request a review.
3.7. Profile statistics (MVP, Total Played, XP, Strikes, Coins) are automatically maintained by the App and cannot be manually adjusted by the User.
4.1. Sessions are organised by the Operator and are visible in the App based on the Region set by the User.
4.2. Participation in a paid Session is arranged by booking through the App and payment of the participation fee — either by card (processed via Stripe) or with one Coin — unless the User participates as Ball Captain. The Operator may also offer free Sessions, which can be joined without payment.
4.3. A booking is final upon successful payment (or Coin redemption). The User will receive a confirmation in the App. If a Session reaches full capacity while the User's card payment is still being processed, no booking takes place and the User receives one Coin as compensation; no double bookings occur.
4.4. When booking, the User selects a team: Team Black or Team Colour. The team choice is binding, except in cases of force majeure.
4.5. Cancellation by the User:
- Paid by card: the User chooses either one Coin (credited instantly) or a refund to the original card (typically 5–10 business days, processed via Stripe). - Paid with a Coin: the Coin is returned.
4.6. Strikes: upon receiving a third Strike, the User's account is automatically blocked. A blocked User cannot book Sessions until the Operator lifts the block (see Article 3.6).
4.7. Cancellation by the Operator: the Operator reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or modify Sessions (e.g. due to insufficient participants, weather conditions or unavailability of the venue). A Session with fewer than 8 confirmed participants up to 2 hours before kick-off is cancelled automatically. In the event of cancellation by the Operator (manual or automatic), Players are refunded according to their payment method: Coin payments are refunded in Coins instantly; card payments are refunded to the card via Stripe (typically within 10 days). Ball Captains participated free of charge and therefore receive no refund. Cancelled Sessions remain visible in the App as cancelled.
4.8. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the cancellation or modification of a Session beyond the refunds described in Article 4.7.
4.9. Waitlist: when a Session is fully booked, Users may join the waitlist. Users on the waitlist are notified when a spot becomes available (provided notifications are enabled). A spot on the waitlist does not constitute a booking and does not guarantee participation.
5.1. Sessions offered through the App constitute leisure services provided at a specific date and time within the meaning of Article VI.53, 12° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law (WER).
5.2. By booking a Session, the User acknowledges that the right of withdrawal under Article VI.47 WER does not apply to the booking, as the Session is a leisure service with a specific date of provision.
6.1. The participation fee per Session is determined by the Operator and displayed in the App for the relevant Session.
6.2. Prices may vary per Session, per venue (pitch), per city and per Region. The price displayed at the time of booking is binding.
6.3. Card payments are processed through the payment provider integrated in the App (Stripe). The User agrees to the terms and conditions of this payment provider.
6.4. Prices are final. The Operator is exempt from VAT under the Belgian small business exemption scheme (Art. 56bis Belgian VAT Code). No VAT is charged.
6.5. The Operator reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not apply to already confirmed bookings.
6.6. The Operator is not responsible for disruptions, delays or errors at the payment provider.
6.7. Chargebacks. If the User initiates an unjustified chargeback or payment reversal through their bank or card issuer for a Session they booked, the Operator may suspend the account until the matter is resolved and may recover the disputed amount and any reasonable administrative costs from the User. Payment disputes should first be reported to info@projectfirstleague.com.
6.8. Coins are session credits, not a currency. One Coin gives access to one Session, regardless of that Session's price. Coins are obtained exclusively as refunds (timely cancellation by the User, cancellation by the Operator, or compensation under Article 4.3); they cannot be purchased separately, transferred to another User, or exchanged for cash. Coins have no expiry date but lapse without compensation when the account is deleted or terminated.
7.1. A maximum of one Ball Captain position is available per team per Session. To act as Ball Captain, a User must have participated in at least one previous Session.
7.2. The Ball Captain participates free of charge in the Session in exchange for the following obligations:
7.3. If the Ball Captain fails to submit the attendance list within 3 hours after the start of the Session, the Ball Captain privilege is automatically and permanently revoked: the User can no longer act as Ball Captain in any future Session. The User can contact the Operator through the App to request a review.
7.4. A Ball Captain who cancels their participation within 12 hours before the start of the Session also permanently loses the Ball Captain privilege.
7.5. In the event of repeated or serious breaches of the Ball Captain obligations (including failing to bring a football), the Operator may additionally apply the sanctions of Article 8.3, up to and including blocking the account. Non-compliance by the Ball Captain directly disrupts the Session for all other participants and is therefore treated as a serious breach.
7.6. Ball Captains participate free of charge and therefore never receive a refund of any kind in the event of cancellation (by themselves or by the Operator).
8.1. The User commits to behaving in a sportsmanlike, respectful and friendly manner during Sessions and when using the App. Players must be kind to each other and contribute to a pleasant and safe atmosphere.
8.2. The following is expressly prohibited:
8.3. In the event of a violation of the Code of Conduct, the Operator may, taking into account the severity of the violation:
8.4. A User who is suspended or banned will be informed of the reason and may submit a written objection to info@projectfirstleague.com within 14 days. The Operator will review the objection and respond within 30 days. The sanction remains in effect during the review.
9.1. By participating in a Session, the User agrees to comply with the rules and regulations of the venue (pitch) at which the Session takes place.
9.2. These venue rules may include, but are not limited to, regulations regarding footwear, equipment, behaviour, access and use of facilities.
9.3. The User is personally responsible for familiarising themselves with the applicable venue rules prior to participation. The Operator is not liable for any consequences arising from the User's failure to comply with venue rules.
9.4. In the event of a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the venue's rules, the stricter provision shall apply.
10.1. The App may offer Sessions specifically designated as Women's Sessions.
10.2. Women's Sessions are exclusively accessible to female Players. Male Players are not permitted to book or participate in Women's Sessions.
10.3. By booking a Women's Session, the User confirms that they identify as female and are eligible to participate.
10.4. The Operator reserves the right to verify eligibility and to remove or ban any User who does not comply with this provision, without entitlement to any refund or compensation.
11.1. After each Session, the Ball Captains of both teams complete the attendance lists. Once both teams' attendance has been submitted, the MVP Voting opens for attending Players. Voting closes 24 hours after it opens.
11.2. Each attending Player may cast one vote. A Player may not vote for themselves. In the event of a tie, all tied Players are recorded as MVP.
11.3. Voting results are automatically processed by the App and recorded in the Profile statistics (MVP counter).
11.4. Manipulation of the voting (collusion, multiple votes via multiple accounts, etc.) is prohibited and may result in sanctions pursuant to Article 8.3.
11.5. Ranking: the App maintains a leaderboard on which Players are ranked based on their MVP score, Total Played and XP. This Ranking is visible to all Users in the App and serves as a competitive element.
11.6. XP: Experience Points are awarded automatically, including for attending a Session, casting an MVP vote, and being voted MVP. The applicable amounts and the level progression are explained in the App. The exact calculation is the property of the Operator and may be adjusted without prior notice.
11.7. Statistics, Ranking positions, XP and Coins do not confer any right to financial benefits or payouts, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Operator.
12.1. PARTICIPATION IN SESSIONS IS ENTIRELY AT THE USER'S OWN RISK. Recreational football carries inherent risks of injury. The User acknowledges and fully accepts these risks. By booking a Session, the User declares that they are in adequate physical health and condition to participate in recreational football. In case of doubt, the User should consult a doctor before participating.
12.2. The User is not insured through Project First League. The Operator does not provide any form of sports, accident or liability insurance. The User is solely responsible for obtaining adequate insurance coverage.
12.3. The Operator is not liable for injuries, physical discomfort or damage to property arising during, before or after a Session, regardless of the cause, unless there is demonstrable intent or gross negligence on the part of the Operator.
12.4. The User indemnifies the Operator against all claims from third parties arising from the User's personal conduct or breach of these Terms & Conditions during a Session.
12.5. The Operator is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits or missed opportunities.
12.6. If, notwithstanding the foregoing, the Operator is held liable, liability shall in all cases be limited to the amount paid by the User for the Session in question.
12.7. The Operator is not liable for temporary unavailability of the App, technical malfunctions, data loss or errors in the calculation of statistics.
13.1. Sessions may be photographed and filmed by or on behalf of the Operator for promotional purposes, including publication on the Website and the Operator's social media channels (such as Instagram and TikTok).
13.2. By participating in a Session, the User consents to appearing in such photographs and recordings and to their use as described in Article 13.1, without entitlement to any compensation.
13.3. A User who does not wish to appear in promotional material can let the person filming know at the Session and can at any time request the removal of specific material by contacting info@projectfirstleague.com. The Operator will remove the material from its own channels within a reasonable time, where technically feasible.
13.4. This article does not apply to recordings made by other participants in a private capacity, for which the Operator is not responsible.
14.1. All intellectual property rights relating to the App, the Project First League brand, the design, the software, the content, the XP system, the Ranking system and the algorithms belong exclusively to the Operator.
14.2. The User is not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the App without the prior written consent of the Operator.
14.3. By uploading content (such as a profile photo), the User grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use this content in the context of providing the services. This licence ends upon deletion of the User's account.
15.1. The Operator processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.
15.2. The full Privacy Policy is available on the Website (projectfirstleague.com) and in the App, and forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
15.3. For questions or requests regarding privacy, the User may contact the Operator at info@projectfirstleague.com.
16.1. The Operator aims to make the App available 24/7 but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

17.1. The User may delete their account at any time via the App (Settings → Delete account) or by contacting the Operator at info@projectfirstleague.com.
17.2. Upon deletion of the account, personal data will be removed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, with the exception of data that must be retained by law. Remaining Coins lapse without compensation.
17.3. Anonymised game statistics (without personal data) may be retained after account deletion for statistical purposes.
17.4. Outstanding payment obligations remain in effect after termination.
18.1. The User may submit complaints regarding the App, Sessions or the services of the Operator by email to info@projectfirstleague.com.
18.2. The Operator will acknowledge receipt of the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days.
19.1. The Operator is not obliged to fulfil any obligation if prevented from doing so by force majeure.
19.2. Force majeure includes any circumstance beyond the Operator's control that temporarily or permanently prevents performance, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government measures, internet connection failures, attacks on IT infrastructure and unavailability of third-party service providers.
20.1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
20.2. Disputes shall preferably be resolved amicably. If no amicable resolution is reached, the dispute shall be brought before the court that is competent under Belgian law.
20.3. The User may also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA/APD) for matters relating to personal data.
21.1. If one or more provisions of these Terms & Conditions are wholly or partially void or voidable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
